Salman Khan goes green, participates in tree plantation drive

The Maharashtra government recently laid out a plan to plant two crore trees as a part of 'Vanamahotsav 2016-17' initiative.

Mumbai: It was just recently that the Maharashtra government laid out a plan to plant two crore trees. The initiative which is a part of “Vanamahotsav 2016-17” took shape after officials confirmed that burning environmental issues like global warming, climate change and environmental conservation acted as the catalyst.

Salman Khan, who contributes to various social activities through his charitable organisation Being Human, has lent his support by taking part in tree plantation drive.

The actor posted a series of pictures and wrote, "BMC is planing 2 crore trees all over Maharashtra.. How cool ! #TreePlantation"

On the work front, Salman Khan has proved that he is Bollywood’s numero uno when it comes to ruling the box office. His movie 'Sultan' also starring Anushka Sharma has managed to earn Rs. 105.34 crores in just three days of its release.
