Mumbai: After throwing light on the issue of toilet shortage in the country in ‘Toilet: Ek Prem Katha’, Shree Narayan Singh is back with another issue, excessive electricity bills from greedy power companies.

This time it’s not new ‘Bharat’ Kumar, Akshay, but Shahid Kapoor who takes up the cause, but again it is ‘Pyaar Ka Punchnama’ fame Divyendu Sharma as his accomplice.

The two are friends and along with Shraddha Kapoor, who's Shahid’s love interest, are a trio who bond over booze, trips and grooves together.

Their town in Uttarakhand grapples with power cuts, and they make do with their lives around it, like archery game in the dark, or Shraddha’s character curling one side of her as the ‘Batti’ was gone before she could do the other.

Divyendu ventures into business with a company ‘UK’ (Uttarakhand) Brands, but all hell breaks loose when he mysteriously loses his life after it is being billed Rs 54 lakh for electricity.

With furious Shraddha telling him not to call Divyendu his friend anymore, Shahid’s conscience awakens and says he’s not the one to fold hands in white clothes, but would make life miserable for the company by wearing black.

So he dons the advocate’s uniform and as the drama picks up in courtroom opposite Yami Gautam, the case makes headlines outside it with people raising their voice against the scam.

The film also stars veterans Sudhir Pandey, Farida Jalal and also Surpiya Pilgaonkar and others.
