Mumbai: Aamir Khan's upcoming Christmas, 2016 release, 'Dangal,' is amongst the most awaited films in recent times.

The film, that has Aamir playing an aging wrestler, is a biopic based on the life of Mahavir Singh Phogat, who trained his daughters Geeta Phogat, the first Indian female wrestler to win a gold at the Commonwealth Games, and Babita Kumari, who won the silver, the same year.

Aamir, who'd beefed up considerably for the film, had subsequently also lost all the weight.

The superstar recently held a screening for his closest friends to critique and scrutinise and turns out the selected viewers were mighty impressed with the film.

Particularly impressed was Karan Johar, who was so blown by the film that he rated it the best film to come out in the past decade.

Karan's tweet has piqued the interest surrounding the film manifold and fans can barely wait to put their eyes on the first glimpse of the film.
