Priyanka Chopra's production house begins shooting first Marathi film Ventilator
Priyanka Chopra's production company Purple Pebble Pictures, released a picture of Ventilator's clapboard with its script.
Desi girl turned videshi superstar Priyanka Chopra, who has ventured out into film production with Purple Pebble Pictures, has flagged off the company's first Marathi film Ventilator.
Priyanka announced plans of her company producing three regional films early last month. On Wednesday, PPP flagged off their first film titled Ventilator' and shared a picture of the film's clapboard with its script during a short pooja ceremony. The production company has a line-up of films in Bhojpuri, Punjabi and Marathi languages that are slated to release this year.
In a statement, Priyanka said that the vision of her company was to create a platform for great stories to be told, irrespective of their genre and language, and also to provide a solid platform for new talent across all fields.
"We are a country filled with exceptional young talent and our endeavour is to provide a platform for talent across the entertainment business to showcase their abilities," Priyanka Chopra said.
Rajesh Mapuskar of Ferrari Ki Sawaari' fame will direct the Marathi project. This film will reportedly have several veteran Marathi film and theatre actors. The film that began its shoot this week, has been slated for a Ganesh Chaturthi festive release.
