Mumbai: The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge, Prince William and Kate Middleton arrived in Mumbai on Sunday on their first visit to India. While Prince William donned a stylish look, Kate wore a glittering blue gown by one of her favourite British brands Jenny Packham.
In the evening they schmoozed with Bollywood film stars at a glittering red-carpet event at the luxury Taj Mahal Palace hotel. The event was also attended by Madhuri Dixit and her husband Sriram Nene. Expressing her joy, Madhuri tweeted saying, 'It was a pleasure meeting their highnesses, William and Kate. Very gracious and down to earth.'

Bollywood's King Khan, Shah Rukh, who was also present at the royal gala, expressed his gratitude towards the royalty in his tweet. The actor wrote: "The Royal couple was so gracious & full of poise. Tonite as I said is the nite of the King the Queen & the Knights. Wish all nites were same."

Apart from SRK and Madhuri, Aishwarya Rai Bachchan, Jacqueline Fernandez, Karan Johar, Aditi Rao Hydari, Sonam Kapoor, Sachin Tendulkar and who's who of Bollywood were present at the gala.
Prince William and Kate were welcomed on stage by Aishwarya Rai Bachchan and Shah Rukh Khan.
SRK, as always was charismatic and was snapped with Aishwarya.
The Duke and the Duchess is on a seven-day tour of India and Bhutan, aimed at building strong bonds with the two countries.
