Malaika Arora gets custody of son Arhaan, Arbaaz gets full access
The former couple went for Justin Bieber's Mumbai concert together along with their son and posed for the shutterbugs.
Mumbai: Anyone who has ever secretly hoped that the stylish Bollywood couple- Malaika Arora and Arbaaz Khan- to contemplate reconciliation will be heartbroken to learn that the duo has been granted divorce by Bandra Family Court, just a day after they attended the Justin Bieber Purpose Tour together.
Arbaaz and Malaika filed for divorce by mutual consent last November, ending their 18-year marriage. On Thrusday, at 11:30 AM, they appeared for the final hearing and then met the principal marriage counsellor VS Athavale for mere 5 minutes. The duo was granted divorce by the Family Court Judge.
A leading tabloid spoke to their respective lawyers, Kranti Sathe and Amurta Sathe Pathak, “The court has granted divorce to Arbaaz and Malaika, which was filed on mutual consent terms.” Malaika has full custody of their son Arhaan and Arbaaz has been granted complete access to his son whenever he wants. The model-actress has neither asked for alimony nor property.
The couple, who filed for divorce on November 8, was given a mandatory six-month waiting period to return to court with a decision on whether or not they want to end their marriage.
The now estranged couple, along with their 14 YO son Arhaan, had attended the Justin Bieber concert held at DY Patil stadium just a day before their divorce got finalised.
Both Arbaaz and Malaika have been amicable with each other since separation and always attend family functions together.
