#MeToo: Renuka Shahane comes out in support of victims accusing Alok Nath
Bollywood's sanskari' babuji' Alok Nath has been accused of sexual misconduct not by one but three co-actresses.
Bollywood’s ‘sanskari’ ‘babuji’ Alok Nath has been accused of sexual misconduct not by one but three co-actresses, of whom one, Vinta Nanda, the first one to speak up against him, was allegedly raped.
Now known actress Sandhya Mridul followed suit and then it was Deepika Amin, his co-star in Luv Ranjan’s Sonu Ke Titu Ki Sweety, who recollected the incident where she was safely escorted from the sets where he started misbehaving.
Himani Shivpuri mentioned that Alok Nath’s behaviour is an open secret in the industry and added that he was even asked to leave from an aeroplane for the same reason.
Renuka Shahane, who worked with Alok Nath in Hum Aapke Hain Koun, now came out in support of all the three victims who have accused the actor of misbehaviour, and even shared about why she opened up only now. Here’s what she wrote:
I remember you sharing this with me many many years ago. Brave of you to come out & talk about this harassment. You, @sandymridul & @vintananda My heart goes out to you brave women â¤ðŸ™ https://t.co/3EG2lKoBDa

Because this story was shared in confidence. It is the victim/survivor's prerogative to come out with her story or keep her silence. It is not right for me to break anyone's trust. It would be very wrong of me & if I shared this story without names nobody would have believed me https://t.co/Nmzyud5DSw
