Janhvi, Ishaan twin for Dhadak; Sara's debut Kedarnath stalled, bags Hindi Medium 2?
Sridevi's daughter Janhvi and Saif Ali Khan's girl Sara announced their debut Dhadak' and Kedarnath' respectively.
Mumbai: A lot of hullabaloo took place right after Sridevi’s daughter Janhvi Kapoor and Saif Ali Khan’s little one Sara announced that they will be making their debut with ‘Dhadak’ and ‘Kedarnath’ respectively.
The two, it was being believed, will be seen in Karan Johar’s production film ‘Student Of The Year 2’, but the actresses for that movie haven’t been announced yet.
Now the latest news this morning was that Sara Ali Khan’s debut ‘Kedarnath’ is on hold as director Abhishek Kapoor had fallout with the producers Kriarj Entertainment and T-Series. The producers complained that the director went over-budget, which caused all the trouble.
On the other hand, Janhvi Kapoor is having the time of her life shooting for ‘Dhadak’, a remake of the Marathi blockbuster ‘Sairat’, also produced by Karan Johar.
She was recently twinning with her co-star Ishaan Khatter, who also happens to be Shahid Kapoor’s brother. Here’s their image from the sets:
It would have been interesting to see both the peers come neck-to-neck (they started shooting around the same time, posted equally exciting on-the-set images), in their respective movies, which were slated to release this year. But it looks like there’s still time to see Sara on screen.
But the offers coming the actress’ way don’t appear less. While reportedly Hrithik Roshan was keen on having Sara in ‘Super 30’, the latest news suggests she could be in ‘Hindi Medium 2’.
According to a source close to Mumbai Mirror, “The makers are really keen on Sara who is the daughter of Saif Ali Khan, Dinesh’s former business partner who collaborated with him on films like Being Cyrus, Love Aaj Kal, Agent Vinod, Cocktail, Go Goa Gone and Happy Ending. Her mother, Amrita Singh, has played the principal of the English medium Delhi Grammar School in the original.”
Dinesh Vijan further told the tabloid, “I have just finished the script and I am going to get into the casting now.”
