Here's why Salman thinks Sridevi is bigger star than Khans and Akshay
The actress thanked her mother and children while launching the poster of her new film, Maa.
The poster for Sridevi’s upcoming film Maa was launched at an awards function recently, with the actress being welcomed on stage by Sultan star Salman Khan, who gave her a rousing introduction.
After being introduced on stage by host Manish Paul as the “Star of the Millennium”, Salman brushed off the title and said, “Aamir Khan, Shah Rukh Khan, Akshay (Kumar)... we have all done many films. Aamir may have done about 50 films — he has a lot of time, as he does only one film per year; Shah Rukh may have done more than 100 films... Put together, we may have all done about 250-275 films. But there is one legend who is very talented, dedicated, hard working and professional. She completed 300 films, after starting her career as a child artiste. Our work cannot even be compared to this legend — she is none other than Sridevi!”
Sridevi went on to thank her family for the support she’s received throughout her career, especially her mother. “If it was not for the support of my mother, I would have not been able to work in films. And I’m also happy that my children want me to do films, even now. Without them, I would not have lasted in the industry for so long,” Sridevi said.
Produced by Boney Kapoor, Maa is said to be an emotional saga of a woman’s strained relationship with her step daughter, as she fights for an injustice done to her.
