Ranveer Singh on sleeping 14 hours on Sunday and his upcoming films Gully Boy, Simmba
Ranveer, who earned accolades for Padmaavat, is all set to surprise audiences with Gully Boy and Simmba.
Ranveer may have a chocablock schedule but the actor takes respite in small joys — like a free Sunday. “On Sunday, I sleep for 14 hours. I am working in the nights for Gully Boy. The shooting is going on dhada-dhad,” says Ranveer Singh. The actor will later begin working with Rohit Shetty in Simmba. He adds, “After I wrap Gully Boy in April, I will be working with Rohit sir for the first time in a feature film.” The director and the actor had previously come together to shoot an ad for a brand of noodles.
The actor, who recently played the intense brooding king in Padmaavat, is looking forward to experiment with the masala genre. “It’s a big one for me — I think a lot of people are excited more than me about this collaboration. I love the kind of masala film he makes and I genuinely believe that I was born to do such films,” he explains.
Basking in the glory of his past hit Padmaavat, fame has been following him, but he doesn’t take it seriously. “Fame is a wonderful thing although it was never the one thing I was attracted to. I am in love with this craft. I just want to be the best actor that I could possibly be. Money and fame will come with it and that’s wonderful,” he exults.
