Exclusive: Ram Gopal Varma wants to make a film on Nathuram Godse

Ram Gopal Varma plans to direct a movie on Nathuram Godse. In his own words, “I am not keen on making a film on Hitler or Gandhi. I want to bring Nathuram’s life to the silver screen. I have already started penning the life story. I fail to understand the state of Godse while he gunned down Gandhi. It is indeed going to be a Herculean task to find every bit of detail about him so that I do not rub somebody up the wrong way,” he says. Strangely, RGV has a penchant for dark, negative and gritty tales. “Don’t we humans always wish to see more of negativity? Negative tell-tales keep us glued to the screen until we get the answer to — what next?”he adds.
