Who are these three': Shahid on Kangana's infamous 3-hero statement
Stories of creative differences on the sets of Rangoon' between these two were all over the news.
Mumbai: Helmed by Vishal Bharadwaj, ‘Rangoon’ is Shahid Kapoor’s first encounter with period films and also the first time he has collaborated with Kangana Ranaut. If rumours are anything to go by, these two are not in good terms with each other. And Kangana’s recent comment on ‘Rangoon’ being a 3-hero film (Shahid, Saif and the actress herself) has only added fuel to the fire.
On a recent chat show with a popular tabloid, Shahid was asked to respond to Kangana’s infamous statement.
"Who are these three? According to me, the heroes of the film are director Vishal Bharadwaj and producer Sajid Nadiadwala. You will have to find the third one. As far as I know, there are three principal characters in Rangoon,” said Shahid.
Unlike Kangana, Kapoor is of the opinion that it is the director who is the real hero of the film and that an actor’s role is to bring the director’s vision to life. "These filmmakers create their world and provide actors an opportunity to showcase themselves. It is an actor's honour to be working with them. We are all playing characters according to the director's vision,” added the ‘Udta Punjab’ star.
Just last month, Shahid had been to a chat show and was asked to suggest alternate career options for his contemporaries. And guess what, when the host mentioned Ranaut, Shahid was quick to answer that the ‘Queen’ star should be a politician.
They have taken their creative differences a bit too seriously. Let it pass already!
