Richa Chaddha completes Madam Chief Minister
Produced by Naren Kumar and Dimple Kharbanda, it has cinematography by Jayesh Nair.
Richa Chaddha has completed the shoot of her next for director Subhash Kapoor titled Madam Chief Minister rather quietly. The film is loosely based on the life of the former chief minister of Uttar Pradesh, Mayawati. “A portion of the film was shot in the interiors of Maharashtra in the Kenjal village of Wai in rural Maharashtra. Post that, the producers had planned a shoot in Lucknow to give an authentic feel as it has several sequences revolving around Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister. The film, which is a hard-hitting social satire like Kapoor’s earlier movies like Phas Gaye Re Obama and the Jolly LLBs, has now been wrapped up after going on the floors last month,” says a source.
Produced by Naren Kumar and Dimple Kharbanda, it has cinematography by Jayesh Nair. Chaddha who had initially raised her voice in cohesion with the various MeToo allegations that surfaced in Bollywood then did a U-turn about how such allegations need to be proved. Likewise, Aamir Khan who had distanced himself from the film Mogul came back to the film and more or less gave a clean chit to Subhash Kapoor who was accused by actress Geetika Tyagi.
Kapoor is expected to start work on his third instalment of Jolly LLB with both Akshay Kumar and Arshad Warsi soon.
