A lot has been said about Alia Bhat’s looks and her cursing in the upcoming film Udta Punjab.

Recently, Neetu Chandra, after seeing the film’s trailer, had written an open letter to director Abhishek Chaubey and Alia about stereotyping Biharis.

Alia says, “Do you not abuse in real life too? So do I… The abuses are in a Bihari tone as the character is Bihari. We have to portray the character according to the script.”

Replying to Neetu Chandra’s allegations, she said, “It is better for us to remain silent because when people make assumptions based on what they see in the trailer, it could perhaps not be true.”

Alia plays a Bihari migrant in the film, “I was very happy when I walked on the sets with the look; usually the assistants’ clear the way for the stars as soon as they go on the sets, but these guys could not recognize me and I entered saying ‘hutto hutto (move, move)’. They all assumed I was an onlooker who had come to see the shoot.”
