Sonakshi Sinha kickstarts self defence campaign in a college
Inspired from Akira, a popular college in Mumbai have taken a step further for the betterment of their fellow students.
Sonakshi Sinha’s latest action flick Akira’s trailer was recently released and it has received rave response not only from media but also from the cinegoers, especially the college going youth. Taking a leaf of inspiration from the trailer, the youth of a popular college in Mumbai have taken a step further for the betterment of their fellow students. The college has decided to run a self defence workshop in their campus. This campaign for the college was kick-started by the Akira star Sonakshi Sinha with the college students and faculty.
Sonakshi interacted with the students and had a chat on the need self defence training for the students. She exchanged few tips and basic training programmes which should be included in the campus workshops. Sonakshi too has trained hard at martial arts for the film and the training is visible in the trailer which displayed some mean moves.
On kick starting the campaign, she said, “It is so cool that the college have decided introduce self defence workshops. I’m so happy and excited. It’s one small step for us and a big step for everybody. I am thrilled that my film Akira has been able to make a difference and urged them in this direction.”
Sonakshi Sinha will be seen in an all out action avatar in AR Murugados's directorial ‘Akira’. Presented by Fox Star Studios Akira will hit the theatres on September 2, 2016.
