Watch: Ajay-Ileana's romance in Baadshaho's Mere Rashke Qamar soar temperatures high
The song has been penned by Manoj Muntashir and recreated by Tanishk Bagchi.
Mumbai: Late Nusrat Fateh Ali Khan’s rendition ‘Mere Rashke Qamar’ has several versions to it. But the one recreated in Milan Luthria's ‘Baadshaho’ is heart wrenching. Rahat Fateh Ali Khan has sung it and has retained Nusrat Fateh Ali Khan's voice.
The sufi song is picturised on the rugged Ajay Devgn and royalty Ileana D’cruz in the film.
Ajay and Ileana’s crackling chemistry is clearly visible in the romantic scenes between them in this soulful track.
Ajay Devgn is wooed by the exquisiteness of majestic Ileana. The song says that she is expecting a faithful relationship from him, as she’s seen in the opening of the song saying, “Kabhi mera bharosa mat todna (never break my trust).” To which Ajay replies that loyalty flows in his blood.
‘Mere Rashke Qamar,’ which means ‘the moon is also jealous of your beauty’ has all the potential to make it to every die-hard romantics play list.
Shot in different locales of Bikaner, Jodhpur and Jaisalmer, the song has been penned by Manoj Muntashir and recreated by Tanishk Bagchi.
‘Baadshaho,’ directed by Milan Luthria, produced by Bhushan Kumar, Krishan Kumar and Milan Luthria releases on September 1, 2017.
