2.0 trailer clocks a record 140 million views

The trailer of Rajinikanth and Akshay Kumar’s 2.0 has collectively garnered over 140 million views so far. The jaw-dropping visuals and stunning action scenes have left fans floored. The trailer, released a few days ago, has gone on to become a massive hit, with expectations for the film now sky-high.

Karan Johar’s Dharma Productions, which is presenting the film in Hindi, took to Twitter Monday to share a poster celebrating the success of the trailer.

2.0, a successor to the 2010 film Robot/Enthiran, marks Bollywood superstar Akshay Kumar’s Tamil debut. The actor had undergone a massive transformation for the film, spending hours in the green room getting into character.

Directed by Shankar and bankrolled by Lyca Productions, the music for the film has been composed by Oscar Award-winning composer A. R. Rahman. The sci-fi action film also features Amy Jackson as the leading lady.
