Jab Kartik and Sara met again

Sara Ali Khan admitted about her crush on Kartik Aryan on a chat show where her father Saif Ali Khan was also present. Soon, the two – Kartik and Sara — were made to meet by Sara’s Simmba co-star Ranveer Singh. Imtiaz Ali looking at a couple to cast for his unofficial sequel to Love Aaj Kal decided to cast the two together.

And they say love happens. Kartik and Sara were then spotted together many times. Sara would pick him up from the airport, Kartik rushed off to Bangkok to ‘surprise’ her on her birthday, picked her up from dance classes and gyms and the story seemed like a fairytale.

Till one day, a ‘Woh’ came in the way of the lovebirds. Ananya Panday, who played the Woh in Pati Patni Aur Woh, seemed to be the reason for the woe when Sara and Kartik just stopped being spotted together and avoided each other. Call it a planned strategy or an unplanned one – but they met again only earlier this week at the office of producer Dinesh Vijan’s Maddock Films and the paparazzi were also tipped off about the photo opportunity that had eluded them since mid-September.

“Valentine’s Day is not far off when the Imtiaz directed and Dinesh produced untitled film will be released. The poster and the trailer launch is not far off and hence a meeting was on the cards to discuss the promotional plan of the film. Sara and Kartik met each other, looked into each other’s eyes and then posed happily for a picture and went their ways. It will be interesting to see if they continue being good friends, get back into a ‘relationship’ or well, just wrap the promotions and go their own ways,” says an industry source.

Films and commercialism always takes precedence over personal choices at times – or so we reckon till Sara and Kartik come clean on what happened between them.
