Not breaking any norms by playing this kind of role: Kareena Kapoor Khan
While Kareena is playing a marketing head in the film, Arjun Kapoor plays a homemaker in 'Ki and Ka'.
Mumbai: Kareena Kapoor Khan feels that her upcoming film 'Ki And Ka' is actually different than what we have seen so far. Present at the trailer launch held in Mumbai, the actress expressed that she is proud of 'Ki And Ka'. Kareena also revealed that Saif Ali Khan was shocked after watching the film's trailer and feels that the film is going to be unique.
While Kareena essays the role of a marketing head in the film, Arjun plays a homemaker. At the launch, Kareena praised the cooking skills of Arjun, she said, "Arjun should host Masterchef soon and also give some cooking tips to Saif because he is not a great cook. Once he made pasta for me in 12 hours."
Meanwhile, Arjun thanked Saif for praising his act in 'Ki And Ka', he said, "Saif has sent me a message congratulating me for my bravery to do such kind of role. I am glad since appreciation is coming from such a great actor."
Kareena has always been known for playing unconventional roles, when asked her about her role in the film, she said, "I am totally a director's actor. I don't come on the sets with any preconceived notions. It is a wonderful and happy film. I am also not breaking any norms by playing this kind of role in the film or working with younger actor like Arjun. I have worked with Shah Rukh Khan and Salman Khan because they are actors and Arjun is an actor too. I never hide my age. I am happy about my age", she added.
When asked Arjun that whether our society is still patriarchal, he said, "Whatever we show in films is actually happens in society. Our film is about equality and choices. If two people in a relationship don't have any issues about their own choices then who is society to point out."
Arjun also shared his experience of shooting in the kitchen for the film, he said "I had to undergo 15 days of cooking training for my role. You can see an injury and stitches on my fingers. For the film I gathered courage to enter the kitchen and learn the process from picking utensils to chop the veggies."
