Pulkit-Kriti go to marriage hall
The actor couple will soon be seen in a production backed by Salman Khan.
The Pulkit Samrat-Kriti Kharbanda relationship is going great guns. On the personal front, Pulkit has managed to sort all his differences with Salman Khan. He was earlier married to Salman’s rakhi sister Shweta Rohira and had a bad divorce, leading to strained relations with the Khan-daan.
Pulkit was promoted with a lot of fanfare in the Salman-backed Atul Agnihotri production Oye Teri, which also featured an item song by Iulia Vantur – her first taste of Bollywood.
While Pulkit and Kriti were both seen at a recent family function of the Khans, Pulkit has managed to get Kriti sign-on the dotted line for the film Bulbul Marriage Hall. The couple had started working together in the film Pagalpanti and got into a relationship during the making of the film.
“Nushrat Bharucha was slated to do the lead role in Bulbul Marriage Hall, which was to start much earlier. But since Salman wanted the film to be a lot better in terms of the writing, he got Raaj Shaandilyaa — writer-director of Dream Girl — to pen the dialogues of the film to make it wittier and smarter. Hence the film has taken time to get on the floors. Now Nushrat’s dates cannot be matched, which is why the makers spoke to Kriti. She was too happy to step into the film,” says a trade source.
