It's official! Ishaan Khatter-Janhvi Kapoor's Sairat remake christened Dhadak
The film, to be helmed by Shashank Khaitan and produced by Karan Johar, is slated for a July 06, 2018 release.
Mumbai: After a dreary wait, Karan Johar has finally made the announcement industry and fans have been eagerly awaiting.
Nagraj Manjule's 'Sairat' had gone on to create history by being the first Marathi film to gross over 100 crores with near unanimous critical acclaim. And now, KJo, has officially kicked off his official Hindi adaptation launching Sridevi's daughter Janhvi Kapoor alongside Shahid Kapoor's younger brother Ishaan Khatter.
The film, to be helmed by 'Badrinath Ki Dulhania's Shashank Khaitan, has also been christened 'Dhadak'.
Karan also released the first look posters of the movie.

While 'Sairat' was set in rural Maharashtra, 'Dhadak' seems to be based out Rajasthan. Ishaan has already finished work on his debut as an adult with Majid Majidi's international film 'Beyond The Clouds'.
'Dhadak' is slated to release on July 06, 2018.
