When contacted a source from the film's team said they have managed to remove the leaked links. With major chunks of the film now available online, it is suspected if it is an attempt to sabotage it. But this is not the first time that Anurag Kashyap's movie has been leaked. Earlier, clips of his short film featuring Radhika Apte was also leaked.
The film's co-producer Anurag Kashyap was at the forefront of the fight against the Central Board of Film Certification (CBFC), which had asked for multiple cuts in the drug-themed drama.
The producers had moved the Bombay High Court against the board's decision. The court cleared the film for release with just one cut and a revised disclaimer. However, now an NGO has appealed Supreme Court questioning the Bombay High Court verdict.
‘Udta Punjab’ stars Shahid Kapoor, Kareena Kapoor, Alia Bhatt and Diljit Dosanjh and is slated to hit the theatres on June 17th, 2016.
