Kiran Rao, who has been supporting new talent herself, has been crediting her husband-actor Aamir Khan for bringing new talent to the table. Even as debutant filmmaker, and Aamir’s protégé Advait Chandan readies his upcoming flick Secret Superstar, Kiran praises Aamir for having recognised talent in newbies.

She says, “Aamir helps a lot with bringing the right talent. I would say he is an actor, who will listen to any narration from the audience’s point of view. He can really unearth a person’s potential. I think as a team we are slowly learning that.”

Kiran, however, maintains that Advait got the chance in his debut movie because of his talent, and not because he has been the actor’s manager. “Adavait wrote the script well. When he narrated the idea to me, I liked it instantly. The script is funny, poignant and layered. All credit goes to Adavait himself. Managing Aamir is not easy, but I must say they make for a great team. I can say they were a relaxed jodi. It would be great to see them working together whether on a film, or whatever!” concludes Kiran.
