The Nach Baliye publicity gimmick
With reality shows rapidly losing hold over viewership, the stakes are getting higher, and so is the desperation to stay relevant.
One such reality show is Nach Baliye which tries to be in the news by having its judges and contestants throw temper tantrums at one another to stay afloat in the TRPs.
All these so-called fights on the show are manufactured, says a source. The latest “spat” being how the choreographers walked out of Nach Baliye because of judge Ahmed Khan’s “rude comments.”
However when checked, one of the judges said no such incident happened. “These are manufactured spats and fights meant to generate interest in the show. It’s obvious — they cook up controversies to boost their TRPs,” says the Judge. Few months back there was a story on Adnan Sami and Armaan Malik indulging in a spat on the sets of the talent-hunt show The Voice where they both serve as a judge. The truth is, there was no such incident at all on the sets of the show. At times such stories are also planted by the PR teams to stay in the news.
When Adnan and Armaan came to know of their so-called fight on the sets, they were aghast and livid. There has never been any hostility between them. As both like each other and have mutual respect.
