The handsome hunk who bagged the Best Actor Award, thanked his wife Mira for being his lucky charm and strength.
Mumbai: Shahid Kapoor, who was linked with several heroines from Bollywood, left everyone startled when he opted for an arranged marriage with a girl 13 years younger to him, Mira Rajput. Many of his girl fans were heartbroken after this news, but it’s amazing to see that the actor still holds an immense fan following amongst the youth, especially girls.
However, the couple considers each other as their lucky charm, and make it as a great pair. They have an adorable baby girl Misha Kapoor together already, who will turn a year older in August.
The couple recently attended one of the esteemed awards show in New York City together, with baby Misha along, and whoa! The actor swept back home the Best Actor Award for his phenomenal performance as Tommy Singh in the highly controversial film ‘Udta Punjab.’
At the green carpet, the couple was at their candid best and answered all the funny and interesting questions shot at them. One of the hosts asked Mira about the funniest thing she did when she was 18. Shahid cut in and said, "Why do you guys ask such questions? Who is going to tell you what they did?"
Obliging to Shahid, the host passed on the question from Mira to him, to which he gave an honest and witty reply.
He said, “At the age of 18, I had no idea that I will be married to a girl who was five years old when I was 18. I guess that's the naughtiest thing I have done."
Moreover, the handsome hunk took to his Instagram page, and as a gesture of thankfulness to his lovely wife Mira, he posted a picture of theirs from the green carpet and captioned, "My strength. Always lucky for me."
His ‘Udta Punjab’ co-actress, Alia Bhatt won the Best Actor (Female) Award for the film and both recorded a boomerang. Shahid posted the video and said, "#Udtapunjab double whammy. Tommy and Mary Jane. Congratulations @aliabhatt."
Sweet, we say!
