Irrfan Khan to play Dawood Ibrahim in Deepika Padukone starrer Sapna Didi?

Irrfan Khan will soon start training for his next film, tentatively titled Sapna Didi. His role in the film is touted to be different from his previous projects. Irrfan will play a grey character in the movie. 

A source informs, “Irrfan plays a gangster in the film. He will be training for action sequences.” Reportedly, Irrfan will be seen playing Dawood Ibrahim in this film. 

An adaptation of S. Hussain Zaidi’s book Mafia Queens of Mumbai, it is on the life and times of Ashraf Khan, popularly known as Sapna Didi. 

Deepika Padukone will be playing the titular role. Directed by Honey Trehan, the film will be produced by Vishal Bhardwaj.
