Arun Govil Calls Adipurush 'Hollywood ki Cartoon'
Hyderabad: The recently released movie 'Adipurush' has not gone well with Arun Govil, who is famously known for playing 'Ram' in Ramanand Sagar's hit TV show Ramayan on Doordarshan.
The veteran actor has dubbed the film ‘Hollywood ki cartoon’ for the modernised version of the TV show, based on the epic Ramayana.
In an interview to a channel, Arun said that he had given his suggestions to the movie producers after the teaser release. It's inappropriate to compare modernism and mythology in relation with Ramayana, he added.
The TV actor also said that he doesn't support the kind of language used in the movie. Adipurush is directed by Om Raut and the dialogues were written by Manoj Muntashir.
Meanwhile, amid criticism from the viewers, the makers of Adipurush have decided to revise the dialogues. A statement issued by T-Series says, "The makers are revisiting the said dialogues, ensuring to resonate with the core essence of the film and the same will reflect in the theatres in the next few days. This decision is a testament that in spite of unstoppable collections at the Box Office, the team is committed and nothing is beyond the sentiments of their audiences and harmony at large."
