Mumbai: Amidst heightening tension revolving around Pakistani actors working in Indian films, it comes as no surprise that the makers of ‘Dear Zindagi’ have decided not to show Ali Zafar in the trailer. The SRK-Alia Bhatt starrer movie was supposed to witness Ali playing a pivotal role, which now, is highly unlikely to happen.

Co-produced by Dharma Productions, this film’s fate is hugely dependent on the fate of ‘Ae Dil Hai Mushkil’ which is clouded in controversies owing to Pakistani actor Fawad Khan’s association with the film.

In an interview, a source reportedly revealed, “Ali is not part of the trailer, but chopping off his role completely isn't possible since he is crucial to the narration. His fate will be decided after the release of ADHM."

Zafar, who has acted in big banner movies like YRF’s ‘KIl Dill’ in the past, is well aware of the decision and ‘has no option but to make peace with it’.

If rumours are to be believed, the production house is looking for a young talent who can compose songs as an alternative to Zafar’s two songs in the movie. Actors Kunal Kapoor and Aditya Roy Kapoor are also part of ‘Dear Zindagi’.

While Director Gauri Shinde chose not to comment on the issue, the spokesperson said, “Dear Zindagi is on schedule. The film is in post production." Speculations of ‘Dear Zindagi’ missing it’s November 25 release is also doing the rounds.
