Aamir might have rejected SRK's Swades, but he did play an important role in film
On the occasion of the completion of 13 years of the film, Ashutosh Gowariker revealed an interesting trivia related to it.
Mumbai: Despite Aamir Khan and Ashutosh Gowariker making a path-breaking film ‘Lagaan’, which was nominated for the Oscars, the former rejected the director’s next film ‘Swades’.
Aamir reportedly felt the script was boring, but he did play a small but significant part in the film.
On the occasion of the completion of 13 years of the film on Sunday, Gowariker revealed that interesting trivia associated with Aamir along with pictures.
Aamir Khan, looking like Mangal Pandey for his much-awaited comeback following a sabbatical, had given the Muhurat clap when the film went on floors.
The actor’s pictures with Shah Rukh Khan, Gowariker and his wife Sunita were shared by the director on Twitter.

‘Swades’ might have flopped at the box office, but it remains till date one of Shah Rukh’s most critically acclaimed performances.
Incidentally, Shah Rukh’s son AbRam performed to a song from the film, ‘Yeh Tara Woh Tara’, at his school annual day function just a day before.
