Director Rohit Shetty may be calculative when doing stunts on television as the host of Khatron Ke Khiladi, but he credits his success as a filmmaker purely to luck.

“All I can say that I am indeed very lucky that my films have done well at the box office. It’s my job, but when my film releases on a Friday, I feel that fear, and I keep pondering about what the result at the box office will be,” the director gushes, adding that the fear helps guide him as well.

“I feel having that Friday fear is good, but once the film is complete, actually you come to know the outcome. It’s always good to have that fear in the mind and heart, you at least come to know ki aap sahi ja rahe ho ya nahi (whether you are going right or not). You do analyze where you are going now. While making Simmba, now while completing Sooryavanshi, and also having been in the industry for so many years, at least I understand the level of the film. Having said that, fear needs to be there,” he opines. Meanwhile, Shetty is seeking a break from the cop universe after being neck-deep in it. But his latest Sooryavanshi will not bring a new cop to the fore at the end.

“We have to take a breather from the cop universe, so we are not planning to introduce any new cop at the end of our next most anticipated film Sooryavanshi,” the director of the Akshay Kumar-starrer reveals. “We have our next film with Ajay Devgn, after which we shall expand the cop universe with new actors. But we have not planned anything yet,” he adds.
