Mumbai: The recently concluded award show in New York grabbed headlines for more than just the awardees list. From Saif Ali Khan, Karan Johar and Varun Dhawan taking a jibe at Kangana Ranaut in her absence by chanting ‘nepotism rocks,’ to Sushant Singh Rajput’s cryptic tweet apparently terming his dismay over losing the Best Actor award to Shahid Kapoor; the extravaganza attracted eyeballs for various reasons.

However, according to a report in zoom, Sushant threw some starry tantrums on the event organisers in New York to get a room on the same floor as Kriti Sanon’s, which left the organisers appalled.

Rumoured couple Sushant and Kriti were in the same hotel but on different floors.

Apparently, Sushant was unhappy with it and demanded to have his room on the same floor as Kriti’s. The event organisers and the staff members tried to make the actor understand that it wouldn’t be possible, but the ‘Raabta’ star was adamant enough and did not take a sigh of relief until his demand was fulfilled.

The ‘Raabta’ duo even performed together at the award show and left the audience spellbound with their spectacular performances. They were glued together at the entire event and also spent some quality time with each other in New York.

Whereas talking about their relationship, Sushant had earlier said, “I read about this thing between us, then there were stories about a fight and a break-up and then suddenly, probably because of the Maserati we were back together. They are all very interesting but untrue. We are good friends. She’s an engineer and I was studying to be one too before I dropped out. We’re both from Delhi, big foodies and like spending time together. Period."

On the other hand this is what Kriti had to say. Seemingly unaffected by these reports, she had said, “It doesn't affect our relationship. I don't see a reason to justify my relationship with Sushant. We know what the truth is. Over a period of time, I have realised that link-ups with co-stars are part and parcel of the industry. I have made peace with it. We often read stuff about us that's completely baseless. We have always taken it in our stride."
