The much-awaited war film, Ghazi, is all set to hit the screens on February 24, next year. The makers are planning to release the film in Telugu, Tamil and Hindi — all on the same day.

Joining the Ghazi team as distributor, even as it prepares to hit the silver screens, is Karan Johar. A close source reveals, “After the grand success of S.S. Rajamouli’s directorial Bahubali, producer-director Karan Johar has started investing more in the South, and up next is the Rana Daggubati and Taapsee Pannu starrer Ghazi, and he has recently bagged the Hindi distribution rights for the film.”

Rana plays a Navy officer in this film, which is based on true incidents that took place during the 1971 India-Pakistan war. Taapsee is playing the role of a refugee. The film is currently in the post-production phase.

Ghazi is a first for Tollywood, in terms of being a film with a war backdrop, based on true incidents. The makers have also roped in Atul Kulkarani and Kay Kay Menon to play pivotal roles in this film.
