Anurag Kashyap's Raman Raghav 2.0 starring Nawazuddin to premiere at Cannes

The Directors' Fortnight, which opens with 'Sweet Dreams', will screen 18 feature films by noted helmers across the globe.

Kashyap has already showcased his films 'Ugly' and his two-part crime saga 'Gangs of Wasseypur' in the festival's sidebar.

Director Anurag Kashyap is returning to the Directors' Fortnight sidebar at the Cannes Film Festival with his latest thriller 'Raman Raghav 2.0', where Nawazuddin Siddiqui plays the infamous serial killer.

Kashyap tweeted,

Raman Raghav, also known as Psycho Raman, was a psychopathic serial killer who terrorised the streets of Mumbai in the mid-1960s. Kashyap has already showcased his films 'Ugly' and his two-part crime saga 'Gangs of Wasseypur' in the festival's sidebar.

The Directors' Fortnight, which opens with Marco Bellocchio's 'Sweet Dreams', will screen 18 feature films by noted helmers across the globe.

Some of the other titles in the section are Oscar-winning documentary filmmaker Laura Poitras' 'Risk', Paul Schrader's 'Dog Eat Dog' (the closing movie), 'Divines', 'Endless Poetry', 'Fiore', 'L'Effet aquatique' (Solveig Anspach), 'Like Crazy', 'Mean Dreams', 'Neruda', 'Tour de France', 'Two Lovers' and a 'Bearand Wolf' and 'Sheep'.
