Ranbir Kapoor claims Brahmastra is 'nothing like Baahubali'
The film, intended to be the first in a trilogy, will be released on Independence Day next year.
Actor Ranbir Kapoor has more than one reason to smile. As he awaits the release of his upcoming film, Sanju, whose trailer and songs are being loved by audiences, he’s working with Amitabh Bachchan and Alia Bhatt on one of 2019’s most awaited releases – Brahmastra.
The film, intended to be the first in a trilogy, will be released on Independence Day next year. Talking about the epic project, Ranbir says, “Ayaan, my best friend, has taken five years to write this film. He has written it in three parts and it’s a new type of film,” adding, “It’s a supernatural film, a modern-day fairy tale. All the characters in it have supernatural powers.”
The actor who is excited to be a part of Brahmastra, says that it bears no resemblance to India’s other great epic drama Baahubali.
“Brahmastra is set in the present day, in contemporary Mumbai. It’s nothing like Baahubali,” he says.
Meanwhile, Ranbir’s Sanju, a biopic of actor Sanjay Dutt, will hit silver screens on June 29.
