John Abraham declines Karan Johar's Koffee invite

John Abraham seems to be in no mood to court controversies, and he has made that amply clear to Karan Johar. The ace filmmaker, who is having an extremely explosive fifth season of his popular talk show, Koffee with Karan, approached the actor to appear on the show, but the Herculean hunk seems to have politely declined the offer, as per sources.

In the wake of the recent fiasco on the sets of Krushna Abhishek’s Comedy Nights Bachao, where the actor did not take kindly to being ridiculed over his supposed inadequacies as an actor, it isn’t surprising that John has chosen to steer clear of a show as unabashedly sensationalising as Koffee with Karan.

Says a source close to the actor, “John’s apprehension towards appearing on the show could prove detrimental to his equation with Karan Johar. After all, it was he who had given John Dostana (featuring Priyanka Chopra and Abhishek Bachchan), which remains one of the biggest hits of his career. This shouldn’t affect their equation in the long run, one can hope.”
