Exclusive: It's too early for a biopic on me, says Nawazuddin Siddiqui
The actor further added that he doesn't let his stardom get in his way of choosing work.
Nawazuddin Siddiqui is in the news for his comments on racism. Reports talk about how the actor got rejected several times over his appearances. And despite all that, he is now one of the stalwarts in the industry. Asked if a biopic should be made on him just like one is being made on Sanjay Dutt, the Munna Michael actor said, “Abhi is layak nahi hua hoon. Abhi toh sirf shuruwat hai. Abhi sirf paanch saal huye hain kaam karte huye.”
However, co-star Tiger Shroff felt a biopic can’t be made on Nawaz ‘sir’ because of a completely different reason. He said, “He is such a fine actor, where possibly can you find an actor who can play him?”
Giving a piece of advice to struggling actors, Nawaz said, “I struggled for 12 years and it gave me many experiences that are helping me today as an actor. There will be disappointments if you set out to become a star. Your instinct should be to keep working. Keep doing all kinds of roles and the audience will decide if you are worth watching. Audience will get curious to know who is this actor who is doing these nice little roles.”
The actor further added that he doesn’t let his stardom get in his way of choosing work.
