Mumbai: Kareena Kapoor Khan will not feature as the lead heroine of the fourth part of the popular comedy franchise ‘Golmaal’ but might do a song, director Rohit Shetty has confirmed.

About Kareena being a part of the fourth part ‘Golmaal Again’, Rohit was reported saying, “It would have been easy to call her and tell her to do the film. She would have said, ‘Let’s do it’. But I can’t do that (referring to her pregnancy). I will miss her for sure. I can’t talk to her (as she is pregnant) to do it. It’s odd. But let’s see, we will do a song or something with her.”

Kareena is currently expecting her first child with Saif Ali Khan, with the baby due in December. But she was recently snapped at Saif’s birthday party and at various other events. The 'Udta Punjab' actress is currently working on the film ‘Veere Di Wedding’ co-starring Sonam Kapoor.

The fourth part of the ‘Golmaal’ film series starring Ajay Devgn, Arshad Warsi and Tusshar Kapoor will release on Diwali 2017. The franchise had Rimi Sen as the heroine in the first part, and Kareena in the second and third parts. Kareena also went on to act in Rohit's Ajay Devgn starrer ‘Singham Returns’.

There were reports that either Alia Bhatt or Rohit’s ‘Chennai Express’ heroine Deepika Padukone would replace Kareena, but Rohit had rubbished those rumours.
