Sushant is still a close friend: Mukesh Chhabra
Mukesh also reveals that though Sushant has attained stardom, he's still as grounded as ever.
Casting director Mukesh Chhabra is all set to make his directorial debut with Kizzy aur Manny, a Hindi remake of the 2014 Hollywood film The Fault In Our Stars, and he’s got his long-time friend Sushant Singh Rajput to play the lead role.
Mukesh says, “Sushant is a close friend and I am glad he’s agreed to be a part of my film. Three years ago, he promised me that if I made a film, he would star in it, and he has kept his word. I am proud of that. Actress Sanjana Sanghi is fabulous in this film. I am sure you will be stunned by her performance.”
Mukesh also reveals that though Sushant has attained stardom, he’s still as grounded as ever. “We fight, we discuss, and we have fun on set. I don’t know how he is with other directors, but with me, he is just the same. My equation with him hasn’t changed,” he says.
The Fault In Our Stars, based on a book by John Green, explores the relationship between two cancer patients played by Ansel Elgort and Shailene Woodley. “I am not willing to reveal anything else yet. I want people to come and experience the film. It’s an honest, beautiful story and it’s been made with utmost honesty,” he says.
