Abhishek Bachchan had made his debut in the industry with J.P. Dutta’s Refugee. Needless to say, the actor shares a special bond with the filmmaker.

And while Abhishek had to back out of Dutta’s Paltan, he has no qualms in admitting that he owes his career to the filmmaker. “Sadly, things did not work out for me, and I couldn’t be a part of the film. But he’s the best, and I wish him best luck. I’m sure he will make a fantastic movie,” Abhishek says.

Abhishek had teamed up with Dutta on LOC Kargil and Umrao Jaan too, the latter alongside his wife Aishwarya Rai Bachchan.

Paltan, which is based on the Indo-China war of 1962, also has Jimmy Shergill, Arjun Rampal, Sonu Sood, Gurmeet Chaudhury and Harshvardhan Rane as part of its star cast.
