Exclusive: Is Hrithik Roshan trying hard to create the image of a family man?
The Kangana Ranaut controversy had single-handedly destroyed his previous release, 'Mohenjo Daro'.
Mumbai: It’s no secret that the Kangana Ranaut controversy had single-handedly destroyed ‘Mohenjo Daro’ at the box-office, having antagonised Hrithik Roshan in the average audience’s mind, to a serious extent.
The magnum opus Ashutosh Gowarikar directorial, which had released alongside Akshay Kumar’s ‘Rustom,’ bombed miserably, while the latter went on to gross over a 100 crore rupees at the domestic box-office.
But now, better sense seems to have prevailed, as Hrithik Roshan, who’s realised he’s lost his invincibility at the Indian box-office, seems to be on damage control mode.
His ex-wife, Sussanne Khan has been a constant at most of his public do’s, including the screening of ‘Kaabil,’ his upcoming movie, his birthday, and his other parties.
Sussanne had even taken to Twitter to shower praises on him and the film, after its first preview.
“Eternal sunshine of the spotless mind..so so so incredibly proud of you @ihrithik,” she had Tweeted.
After watching the film, she also had told reporters, "The film is unbelievable! It's one of the best films ever .You'll go mad if you see it," she said elatedly.
It makes one wonder if Hrithik is trying to buy the family audience’s trust back. He’s pretty much projecting himself as the ultimate family man, losing no opportunity to emphasise on how Sussanne and he are completely invested in raising their kids in the most ideal of environment.
Hrithik desperately needs a hit in the Sanjay Gupta helmed 'Kaabil,' to salvage his career and regain his superstardom.
Well, never too late to do the right thing, we assume!
‘Kaabil,’ also starring Yami Gautam, Ronit Roy and Rohit Roy, releases on January 25, alongside Shah Rukh Khan’s ‘Raees’.
