Kriti Sanon looks forward to Akshay Kumar's reaction on 'Ye Khabar'

Mumbai: Kriti Sanon will be performing ’90s song Ye Khabar Chapwado Akhbar Mein alongside. 

The actress who has four films releasing this year will be performing a 90’s song for the first time alongside Kartik Aaryan in her upcoming romantic-comedy Luka Chuppi. 

Delhi girl Kriti, who grew up in ’90s is really excited to perform the iconic number from 1997 release Aflatoon starring Akshay Kumar and Urmila Matondkar. And, what doubles her excitement is the fact that she also has Housefull 4 releasing this year which will see her alongside the said actor. The diva is eagerly waiting to watch Akshay’s reaction to her performance on the song. 

“Ye Khabar Chapwado Akhbar Mein is my most favourite song from the movie Aflatoon. I never thought that I would be dancing to it on the big screen. I was so excited when I got to know that we were recreating the song for one of my films. I had a blast shooting it,” she says and adds, “What’s also amazing is that I am in the midst of shooting another film with Akshay sir, Housefull 4. I can’t wait to see Akshay sir’s reaction to the song when he sees it.”

Luka Chuppi, the fastest film shot in a period of 45 days, will see Kriti Sanon essaying a local girl who has gone to study in Delhi. The film has been extensively shot in Mathura and Gwalior but the songs will show the glimpses of Mumbai. It releases on March 1, 2019.

Besides Luka Chuppi, Kriti will be seen in four other films this year namely Arjun Patiala, Panipat, Housefull 4 and a song in Kalank.
