Ahan Shetty needs time
Milan Luthria, who is impressed with Tara’s work on RX 100, is giving newcomer Ahaan Shetty time to learn the ropes.
Not many may be aware that Tara Sutaria’s voice was heard in a Sanjay Leela Bhansali film Guzaarish, where she was part of the playback team. The actress, who could replace any soprano in a musical, is now the senior partner in the Milan Luthria-helmed Hindi remake of the Telugu box office juggernaut RX 100.
While Milan is pretty pleased with her performance, he is still looking at Ahan Shetty coming along with her. “It is easy when you cast two debutants. But Tara has done one film now, and Ahan is a newcomer. Ahan comes from a film family, but it is also about the chemistry in the scenes. Not that Tara is too experienced, but Milan has been working with people like Ajay Devgn, Saif Ali Khan, and Akshay Kumar as well, all of who have bagged national awards for films like Kacchhe Dhaage and Once Upon A Time In Mumbai. He is coming to terms with the fact that Ahan is a newcomer and needs time,” says an industry source.
In addition, producer Sajid Nadiadwala had launched Kriti Sanon and Tiger Shroff in Heropanti and understands the importance of grooming newcomers before they are let loose on the audience.
The eventual result is that the remake of RX 100 will take a while to hit the floors. An official announcement will come only then.
