Go Goa Gone sequel in writing stage; certainly not on zombies: Producer Dinesh Vijan
After the success of Go Goa Gone', the makers of the film are working on its sequel.
Mumbai: Saif Ali Khan-Kunal Khemu-Vir Das starrer ‘Go Goa Gone’ became a huge rage among youngsters in 2013 and the makers cannot wait to make a sequel of this zom-com. In November 2016, Saif had also confirmed that he would like to make a sequel of the film and that the director duo Raj and DK have approached him with a nice concept.
Now the producer of the film, Dinesh Vijan, confirms that the script for the film’s second instalment is in the ‘writing stage’. He informed, “We might do a sequel to Go Goa Gone. It is in the writing stage and most important thing is to a film with intention from all the parties. Till the script doesn’t come in place, I can’t talk about it. I think the idea is very nice but it is certainly not on the zombies.”
There was a lot of noise around the casting of the film and gossip mills were abuzz with news of Soha Ali Khan, who had a brief appearance in ‘Go Goa Gone’, joining the cast as a ghost. The producer, however, chose to stay mum about this topic. He said, “Till the time script won’t come in place, it is difficult to say anything since it is a proper sequel so there has to be the primary cast in it.”
If the rumour proves to be true, then it will be the third film in recent times that a leading lady will be seen playing a ghost. Urvashi Rautela played a lustful ghost in Indra Kumar’s sex comedy ‘Great Grand Masti’ and Anushka Sharma played a personable, romantic ghost in ‘Phillauri’.
