Farah Khan avoids the media
The filmmaker-choreographer slipped out of a recent book launch event before the media could ask her any questions.
Farah Khan recently attended an event in Mumbai and made a tactical exit before a Q and A session with the media. Given that the filmmaker-choreographer is usually very media-friendly, her premature departure leads us to believe that she’s not yet ready to talk about the allegations of sexual harassment levelled against her brother Sajid Khan.
Farah attended a book-launch event for author Jaishree Sharad’s Skin Rules, and the moment the floor was opened to questions, she said, “On this note, we shall go” and left in a hurry.
Though the filmmaker has condemned her brother’s actions in a tweet, she has yet to speak about the issue in person. Her tweet dated October 12 reads, “This is a heartbreaking time for my family. We have to work through some very difficult issues. If my brother has behaved in this manner he has a lot to atone for. I don’t in any way endorse this behaviour and stand in solidarity with any woman who has been hurt.”
