Aishwarya Rai Bachchan to play Nargis Dutts role in the remake Raat Aur Din?

Mumbai: After doing a glamorous role in Karan Johar's 'Ae Dil Hai Mushkil', Aishwarya Rai Bachchan might be seen playing completely different character in the remake of 1967 release ‘Raat Aur Din’. The original classic film starred Nargis Dutt in the lead role.

As per the reports, if Aishwarya gives her nod to the film then she will play the character of Varuna which was earlier played by actress Nargis who had won National Award for Best Actress for the film.

Aishwarya is likely to play the role of a woman who suffers from multiple personality disorder in the film, which is being produced by Prernaa Arora and Arjun N Kapoor under their banner KriArj Entertainment.

On being asked about the possibility of the remake, producer Prerna Arora said to a leading gossip portal, “We are collaborating together on a thriller to be directed by a debutant director. Siddharth and I are co- producing the film. I had spoken to Sanjay Dutt sir about it. I am in talks with her and it’s my wish that she does it. She has not confirmed it as yet.”

It also looks like Aish might play a double role in the movie. Kriarj head honcho Prerna told Mumbai Mirror, "Working with Aishwarya on Fanney Khan has been a pleasure. Now, there are two more films we are collaborating on with her. Siddharth Anand will be co-producing the film with me, which is an edgy thriller. This film will see Aishwarya in a double role and we will soon finalise the leading man opposite her."

Meanwhile, Aishwarya has recently wrapped up 'Fanne Khan' alongside Anil Kapoor and Rajkummar Rao, which is bankrolled by the same producers. 'Fanne Khan' will be releasing on 15th June, 2018.
