Ranbir Kapoor worked day and night for Sanju, asserts father Rishi Kapoor
Film written and directed by Rajkumar Hirani, will be opening up facets of Sanjay Dutt's personal as well as public life on the big screen.
Veteran actor Rishi Kapoor is proud of his son, Ranbir, whose teaser of his next film Sanju, the Sanjay Dutt biopic, has been well appreciated all over. However, Rishi reveals what his concerns were.
Rishi says, “It (the teaser) was good. I have seen that boy (Ranbir) working day and night. He took 6-7 weeks to get each of his different looks. He has worked out, he has starved himself, grown his hair, done everything.”
The film, written and directed by Rajkumar Hirani, will be opening up facets of Sanjay Dutt’s personal as well as public life on the big screen.
Rishi added, “I was only scared that it doesn’t become a kind of caricature. But, it helped greatly that Raju (Rajkumar Hirani) was the director. I am glad people have liked the teaser. I haven’t seen the film yet, so I don’t know.”.
Meanwhile, Rishi will be soon be seen alongside Amitabh Bachchan in Umesh Shukla’s 102 Not Out. The actor can’t stop gushing about the director. Rishi says, “Umesh is a good director and very patient. He is a theatre artiste so he understands everything. I didn’t see him being bullied by Mr Bachchan or myself. He keeps his stance if he wants something.”
“Sometimes when you are working with Mr Bachchan, you can’t say ‘you are not doing it right’. It needs a lot of guts to say that to Amitabh Bachchan, so I credit him greatly for that. He is a very controlled director,” he added.
