Here's the first picture of Tusshar Kapoor's newborn Laksshya
The actor recently announced the arrival of his baby boy born last week through IVF and surrogacy.
Last seen in ‘Mastizaade’, Tusshar Kapoor announces the arrival of his baby boy born last week through IVF and surrogacy. The baby, Laksshya, is in excellent health. Elated Tusshar says, “I am thrilled to be a father! The paternal instincts in me have been overpowering my heart and mind for some time now. Therefore, I am thrilled beyond words to have Laksshya, now the greatest source of joy in my life. By the greatness of God and the excellent medical team at Jaslok, parenthood is an option for many, who choose to be single parents.”
Proud grandparents, Shobha and Jeetendra Kapoor, state, “We could not be more excited to be grandparents to Laksshya, and are completely supportive of Tusshar's decision. This is certainly a tremendous blessing, and an exciting time in our lives. Tusshar is a wonderful son, and he has proven with responsibility, independence, and kindness that he will be a great father to Laksshya.”
Tusshar's sister Ekta too announced the arrival of the new addition to their family, in an adorable post.
Dr. Firuza Parikh, Director of IVF and Genetics at the Jaslok Hospital and Research Centre, led the treatment and states, “I am impressed with Tusshar’s determination to be a father. He maintained a keen interest in the baby’s health at every stage. He will surely be a sensitive and nurturing parent. Recently, we have had many single men and women approved for parenthood. As a public figure, Tusshar’s brave and bold decision will open the field of assisted reproduction making it accessible to not just single parents, but also to many who fervently desire to have a baby.”
On this happy occasion, Tusshar held a press meet on Monday afternoon at his residence in Juhu, Mumbai where he addressed the media.
Tusshar said, "It was my wish to become a father since long as i have turn 40. I feel my family is complete now. My family was over joyed. I wanted to be a single parent. My son looks like me so I m very happy. It just your paternal instinct. I was mentally prepared last year when I met the doctor. I owe my fatherhood to my doctor. We went through all the legalities. Jaslok hospital will tell you if required.I didn't want to adopt so I went ahead with this. Entire industry congratulated me and they have been very supportive."
He further added, "I went to Tirupati last year and met Prakash Jha. He introduced me to the technology, so I went ahead. Ekta is too excited. Ekta is a June baby and my son also so she says that he's my twin. My sister got him name Lakshay. Me,my parents and Ekta are the care taker. I will not reveal the date of birth but he came home a week ago. Let him get healthier, I will make you meet him to all of you."
