Amyra Dastur backs out of fashion event, wanted business class tickets
Amyra recently backed out of a fashion week and later refused to return the advance amount.
Actress Amyra Dastur, who was last seen in Mr. X back in 2015, alongside Emraan Hashmi, has been going through a rough patch in her career. That, however, has not stopped her from throwing tantrums on a professional level and has reportedly turned her back to a fashion week commitment in Mysore.
A birdie close to the proceedings reveals, “Amyra recently backed out of a fashion week and later refused to return the advance amount. This last minute backing out left the organiser of the fashion event in a fix and they had to arrange for a new showstopper. The actress, as well as the talent management company have still not budged from their decision to keep the advance amount.”
The source adds, “Amyra’s agent apparently informed the organisers one day prior to the event that the actress would only fly if her tickets were booked in the business class of a premier airline. She also refused the option of flying business class in a fairly moderately priced airline. After all of this, Amyra has seized the advance amount she had received for being the showstopper for the fashion show on September 18.”
When contacted, the organiser of the fashion week, Jayanthi Ballal confirmed, “Amyra backed out at the last minute, which has caused damage to our property. If she had an issue with the tickets, she should’ve mentioned it clearly beforehand or raised a question when travel details were being discussed. It’s extremely unethical for anyone to back out from a pre-planned show at the last minute. We had to bear a huge loss due to this. The sari brands involved in the show has sued us for the same.”
