Yes, Sid is a part of my life: Alia Bhatt
Bhatt has always been open about her reel and real life, except for the sensitive topic of Sidharth Malhotra.
Mumbai: Talk about love and she breaks into a baby-like giggle you cannot help but admire. This superstar-in-the-making beams with pride while talking about her new house, which she will be sharing with her sister Shaheen. In a recent interview, Bhatt explained her move and opened up about heartbreak.
“I needed more space. It’s not that I didn’t have it at my parents’ house, but you have to think of other peoples’ timings too. I always knew that at some point I’d move out with my sister. Shaheen and I always wanted to live together and we can afford to now,” said Alia who’s ‘washed out and un-done’ apartment is not to far from her parent’s house.
One thing that really irks the actress is the sensitive topic of fellow debutant Sidharth Malhotra, who was rumoured to be her boyfriend and the two of them have reportedly broken up. A visibly upset Alia said, “When were we dating to have broken up? Sid is still a part of my life and I do talk to him.”
Alia has always been a romantic at heart, at the tender age of 8 not only did she fell head-over-heels in love but was also ‘planning kids in her head’. Though embarrassed, Alia still revealed, “I dated him for two years. I was planning babies in my head and all of that. He was a little possessive and I learnt not to let anybody tell me what to do.”
The ‘Udta Punjab’ star is currently shooting in Singapore for ‘Badrinath Ki Dulhaniya’ along with Varun Dhawan. She had flown back home for her mother, Soni Razdan’s birthday.
Her latest movie ‘Dear Zindagi’, which imparts lessons on life, will see her pair up with superstar Shah Rukh Khan for the first time. The teasers have already become a rage.
‘Dear Zindagi’ is slated for November 25 release.
