Is Sanjay Leela Bhansali planning to release Padmavati in 3D?
Bhansali's magnum opus drama will also be dubbed in Tamil and Telugu to attract a Pan-India audience.
Mumbai: The makers of Padmavati are elated with the immense love and appreciation from audiences to their trailer as well as the first song, Ghoomar. Now, according to reports in Mid-Day, they are planning to present Padmavati in 3D as well.
The leading daily has quoted a source close to the film saying, “The executives were excited after watching the trailer. They told producers Viacom 18 that the film must be seen in 3D for viewers to enjoy the filmmaker’s vision. Bhansali was on board too.”
The source further revealed that given the film has been made on a total budget of 170 crore, the decision of a 3D release would only get a greater response from the audience and help to make it a bigger draw. He also stated that it would help the film get an advantage at the Box Office and thus improve the film’s prospects.
Reports further indicate that Bhansali has hired a team of Hollywood technicians to make it suitable for a 3D film. Fans will thus reportedly get to watch the film in both 3D as well as 2D and the film will also be dubbed in Tamil and Telugu to attract a Pan-India audience.
Sanjay Leela Bhansali‘s Padmavati, starring Deepika Padukone, Shahid Kapoor and Ranveer Singh in lead roles is slated to release on December 1.
